OPEN LETTER TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF KENTUCKY

I don't live in your state; I've never even visited or passed through. But I do know that Kentucky has a rich history - one that every resident should rightfully be proud of. I have taken a particular interest in your state this year for one very important reason: Drew Curtis. And as the relentless march of time brings you closer to the election that will determine your next governor, I have a growing fear that The People of Kentucky may be on the verge of making a great mistake - one that would forever stain your illustrious history.

The saddest part is that by now everyone should know better. Trust in government is at an all-time low, and with good reason. It has become clear to anyone that bothers to look critically that government, an endeavor that should be the most serious of all undertakings, has instead become a sick game of team sports. The parties make policies at the behest of the privileged; they are beholden to them. And these policies represent what is good for the parties and the privileged, not what is good for The People.

The situation has gotten so bad that many of those that still bother to vote (turnout is also at an all-time low) end up voting for the lesser of two evils. This is a mistake - any vote for a Republican or a Democrat is a vote in favor of the corrupt system as a whole. It is one machine, with two heads. And it will devour you whole and spit out the pieces if it serves the interests of the privileged.

Kentucky is in a unique position this year because Providence has delivered them a genuine, obvious alternative in the form of Drew Curtis. Here is a candidate that has chosen to affiliate with neither party, instead casting his lot on the side of common sense and data-supported decision making. A candidate that has pledged, quite believably, to put the interests of The People ahead of the interests of the privileged. Someone that does not claim to have all the answers, but who instead describes a sensible plan to find those answers using a scientific approach that is compatible with Democracy. In short - everything that a leader is supposed to do for us. To anyone that enjoys the use of a functioning brain there is no decision to be made.

Drew Curtis is the only legitimate, viable candidate standing for Governor of Kentucky.

But there is more to it than that. America will be watching to see what The People of Kentucky do. History will be watching as well. The writing is on the wall - 2016 will be a year of bloodless revolution. The year The People take back their government from those that have perverted and subverted it. The People of Kentucky have a unique opportunity to fire the first shot in that struggle - to be written into history next to unforgettable places like Lexington and Concord and Fort Sumpter. I beg every citizen of Kentucky to think carefully before squandering this precious and fleeting opportunity.

Most people cheer when "The Good Guy" does the impossible and triumphs over evil in the movies. Yet ironically these same people fear taking bold steps towards greatness in the real world. This fear has to die - The People of Kentucky must find the courage to make a stand and to write history. To say: Enough is enough! I'm voting for Drew Curtis. And not to whisper it; to climb up on the rooftops and shout it out loud. To take pots and pans clattering into the streets; imploring all citizens to join in the deliverance of government of The People, by The People and for The People. Or to live with the well-deserved shame of having done nothing.

Don't be shy - there is too much at stake!
