Crypto Freakshow

The Crypto Freakshow was a podcast produced in partnership between Vacant Minds Media and Crypto Tonight. It was hosted by myself and my Australian counterpart, Darko. He was an excellent co-host, though he never could quite get his boomerang to come back. The focus of the show was highlighting new cryptocurrency projects by interviewing the founders and thought leaders associated with these projects.

The show ran 2 seasons, with 13 episodes being produced in total. We had a lot of fun, and enjoyed meeting the different guests. When we ceased production in favor of focusing on Crypto Degenerates, the main reason was the difficulty in lining up new guests every week. New projects did launch every week in the cryptosphere, but we had a small audience, and not everyone wanted tot talk to us.

There was also the matter of a few of our guests being revealed by time to be, to put it delicately, completely full of shit. It wasn't everyone; it wasn't even the majority. But the scammers and liars did find there way in, and both Darko and I regretted that. It is true that we were offering only a platform, not our endorsement, but we came to realise that absent a mechanism to better vet potential guests, the show would be difficult to continue anyway.

The show was enjoyable to do, and since Crypto Tonight handled the schedualing and production elements of the partnership, all I had to do was show up every week. I don't believe that any of the projects went to the moon, but I am pleased to say that a few of them had a decent, respectable run and did their earnest to meet the expectations they had set.

I think the problem, to be quite honest with you, is that you've never actually known what the question is.
